Earth Science - 1
This class offers a study of our planet and the universe around it. Areas of study include astronomy, meteorology, oceanography, and geology. Some comparison between creation and evolutionary theories is included.
Biology - 1
This is a study of living organisms from the simplest to most complex. Areas of study include cells, genetics, microbiology, botany, zoology, and ecology. Labs are included.
Conceptual Physics – 1
This non-laboratory class offers students the opportunity to discuss all the same concepts of a high school physics class without requiring an advanced knowledge of algebra.
Chemistry – 1
Prerequisite: Algebra II. This class deals with the structure and composition of substances, the changes in composition and the mechanisms by which those changes occur. Labs are included.
Physics - 1
This laboratory class deals with matter and energy and their interactions in the field of mechanics, acoustics, optics, heat, electricity, magnetism, radiation, atomic structure, and nuclear phenomena. This course is offered every other year.
Anatomy & Physiology – 1
Prerequisite: Biology. This class is a comprehensive study of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Areas of study include cells, tissues, skin, and skeletal, muscular, nervous, sensory, cardio-vascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Labs are included.
