Mr. Bass graduated from Fletcher Academy in 1982, and went on to earn his BA in Religion, MA in School Administration, as well as Minors in Physical Education and Industrial Education. He has been teaching in Adventist education for 22 years, and 18 of those at Fletcher Academy. During his time in education, Mr. Bass served in the areas of Boys' Dean (12 years), Principal at an elementary school (3 years), an elementary school teacher, and Vice Principal.

Mr. Bass married his academy sweetheart, Teresa, and they have two wonderful boys. Everyone in the Bass family enjoys the great outdoors and they take the opportunity to be out in God's nature as much as possible.  Mr. Bass' favorite outdoor activities include (but are not limited to): camping the AT, backpacking, snow skiing, water skiing, sailing, white water rafting, canoeing, motorcycles, and cycling.
