Mr. Gerst has been teaching for 7 years - all at Fletcher Academy. He received his Religion and P.E degrees at Union College, and then went on to receive a Master's in Outdoor Education.

Mr. Gerst has been married for 2-1/2 years to a Fletcher Alumnist. He loves the outdoors and learning about nature. He has a wide range of interests. He enjoys exteme sports, i.e., snow skiing, snowboarding, watersports, scuba diving, sky diving, canoeing, kayaking, and riding his motorcycle on the Blue Ridge Parkway. He enjoys playing the guitar, and if you haven't experienced his ukulele and singing abilities, you are really in for a ... treat! He enjoys all sports, but especially football and the Chicago Bears.

Most of all, though, Mr. Gerst loves Christ and is excited to share Christ with others and the students he teaches.
