Mrs. Hughes’ interest in crunching numbers developed as a teenage missionary kid working with her dad in the accounting office of the South American Division.  Degrees from Andrews University in accounting, piano pedagogy, and music prepared her for areas of service as a music teacher and a medical office coordinator, in retail, a CPA office, and with a custom home builder. 

Mrs. Hughes’ passions include a) spending time with her husband, Gene and their two grown children, daughter Amy (FA ’02, married to Trenton Roth) and son David (FA ’02), b) praising God with friends through music – can’t wait to sing around God’s throne! c) reading d) discovering heart shapes in nature - hugs from God, e) mangos and Indian food, f) hiking to the many waterfalls in the WNC mountains, g) hummingbirds, puppies, and rainbows, and h) experiencing a growing relationship with God through answered prayer.
