Gary Lewis, B.S., C.P.A.

Mr. Lewis came to Fletcher Academy, Inc., in 1976 as the Cafeteria Assistant. He has also worn the hats of Bakery Assistant, Bakery Route Deliveryman, Cafeteria Director, and Accounting Office Assistant, sometimes concurrently. In 1987, he enrolled in night-school, with the goal of obtaining a degree in accounting.

Mr. Lewis began working full-time in the Finance Office in 1990, earning his B.S in Accounting in 1996 from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and passing the C.P.A. exam in 1997. He has held the positions of Chief Accountant, Treasurer/CFO, and most recently, Senior Accountant.

Mr. Lewis and his wife, Sharon (Champ) Lewis, enjoy traveling, camping, baking bread, thrift-store bargain hunting, pickin’ bluegrass music, and enjoying their ‘career-military’ cat, Harpo.
