Mr. Sigsworth taught for 24 years in Michigan, Oklahoma, Alabama, Wisconsin and North Carolina in the academy and junior academy setting. Mr. Sigsworth and his wife, Katie, returned to Katie’s alma mater in the summer of 2007.

Mr. Sigsworth's response of “Students” to the question, “What do you teach?” means that the shared experience of learning together in the classroom is seen as more important than the subject matter being imparted.

His two children, though grown and married now, enjoyed learning several years in his classroom. Mr. Sigsworth enjoys many outdoor activities but especially gardening.
