Brent Yingling has taught at Fletcher Academy for 40 years. A graduate of Loma Linda University, Mr. Yingling has studied at the University of Paris—Sorbonne, and holds a French for Foreigners diploma from Le Seminaire Adventiste du Collonges-sous-Saleve, Collonges, France. He has taught English, French and Spanish, as well as serving as Principal and President of Fletcher Academy, Inc.

Following 30 years as a first violinist with the Asheville Symphony, he now enjoys performing chamber music. He stays in shape by road biking and mountain biking, and often rides with students on the weekend. His favorite biking routes are the backroads of Europe, especially in the Alpes and Pyrenees.

Mr. Yingling and his wife, Sue, have two daughters who both graduated from Fletcher Academy in the '90's.
