Leaf Rake Day (11/19/06)
What a wonderful thing to go up to someone's house and say, "Can we rake your yard?" Do teenagers really just go out a few days before Thanksgiving and rake for hours on end, asking nothing in return?!?! Well, that is exactly what about 125 Fletcher Academy students did this Sunday - and what a blessing it was for so many!! One man commented that he was dreading getting out there and tackling his huge yard, but with about 25 students, the job was done in no time. The homeowner thanked the students again and again - What a wonderful Thanksgiving gift!!
