Outdoor Club - Rock Climbing

The Outdoor Club recently enjoyed a rock climbing adventure that included camping and hiking in the Linville Gorge area. The participants learned rock climbing techniques from the pros at Rock Dimensions, how to tie a number of knots, rappelling, belaying, etc. The day also included a traverse over a natural chasm. Although the 150+ ft rock face seemed formidable at first, by the end of the day the kids (and adult kids) were scampering up it - even with their eyes closed! Needless to say, we slept very well that night.
It was an awesome trip, and God's majesty was seen in the beautiful sunrise, the majestic mountains, and even the thick fog and rain on Sabbath that helped us slow down and ..."Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10).
